“THE EMPTY LEASH” may just be the group for you.

If you would like to meet and share your thoughts and memories with others who have had a beloved animal companion pass away…or expect to in the near future, you can find comfort in this warm and caring group. Grief can be from the past, present or future anticipation of loss. We are here for any type of pet you may be mourning.

The emphasis of the group is on understanding the stages of grief and coming to terms with it as gently as possible. Group Memorial Services are offered 3 – 4 times a year to aid in closure. These services are open to participating group members only.

Due to the sensitive and emotional aspect of the group, the age limit is 18 years old. There is no charge for the group; however, a Free-Will offering would be greatly appreciated at the meetings to help defray the cost of supplies and the Memorial Services.

The group is open-ended. You may attend the group for as long as it takes you to come to terms with your loss.

Starting in July meetings will be held at 2 different locations:

Members must still register with Kym before attending one of the meetings.
