We know you are now on a difficult journey without your pet. You are not alone! “THE EMPTY LEASH” may just be the group for you.
If you would like to meet and share your thoughts and memories with others who have had a beloved animal companion pass away…or expect to in the near future, you can find comfort in this warm and caring group. Grief can be from the past, present or future anticipation of loss. We are here for any type of pet you may be mourning.
The emphasis of the group is on understanding the stages of grief and coming to terms with it as gently as possible. Group Memorial Services are offered 3 – 4 times a year to aid in closure. These services are open to participating group members only.
Due to the sensitive and emotional aspect of the group, the age limit is 18 years old. A free-will offering would be greatly appreciated at the meetings to help defray the cost of supplies and the Memorial Services.
